SMEs at the heart of global value chains: the European project “ValueFacturing SMEs” presented in Brussels
The Valuefacturing SMEs project was presented on 19 November 2024 in Brussels to the SSDC Telecommunications and ICT Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee, by its scientific partner, Fondazione Adapt represented in the meeting by Margherita Roiatti.
The project aims to strengthen the role of SMEs in global value chains by promoting social dialogue, sharing best practices, and by implementing tools that support the competitiveness of manufacturing SMEs while ensuring the quality of work across value chains.
A project focused on research, capacity building, and training for businesses, their industry associations, and worker representatives
During the presentation, the most significant development and expected results were highlighted:
Documentary research: More than 100 resources, including scientific papers and reliable reports, were collected, organised, and analysed, complemented also by field research in Italy, Albania, and Hungary, as well as international interviews with a group of key experts.
Workshop and training: Events were organized in Bergamo (June 2024) and Tirana (October 2024), featuring an innovative format that combined roundtable discussions and interactive training sessions, fostering the exchange of experiences between experts and representatives of the social partners.
Innovative dissemination tools: Including multimedia content such as podcasts and videos, and a multilingual decalogue with practical guidelines for social dialogue at company and sectoral levels.
Participation in this important discussion table was made possible thanks to project partners Digital SME and Confimi Digitale and their involvement in the SSDC Telecommunications and ICT Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee,
Next project’s event will be the Hungarian national workshop which will take place in Budapest and online on for March 5, 2025, in Budapest.
